I am always looking for ways to deepen my understanding of Ableton PUSH as an instrument and not just a controller… so I came up with a challenge for myself…. I decided to challenge myself to play one of my favorite basslines ever…. Jaco Pastorious’ “Teen Town” ….
I would say it took me about 30 hours of solid practice to be able to play it – BUT I mean that as a good thing… because now I have not only deepened my understanding of Ableton PUSH as an INSTRUMENT but also deepened my understanding of melody and harmony as this bass line is just completely NUTS…
So for anyone out there who would like to get better at their Ableton PUSH I now pass on this challenge to YOU!If you would like me to do a tutorial on how exactly to play this brilliant piece of music… let me know in the comments below…. if there is enough interest I will make one asap!
Also, if you would like to deepen your understanding of Ableton PUSHs Chromatic Mode – the mode I am using in this video – here is a good place to start ???
